Six pickleball courts are available at Ashley High School in Wilmington, NC, painted as lines on three existing tennis courts in a shared, multi-sport setup. Access is free and open to the public at any time, but there is an important catch: the portable nets are locked in a storage box reserved for Cape Fear Pickleball Club members. Non-members and unaccompanied visitors will need to bring their own net. The Cape Fear Pickleball Club holds regular Tuesday evening sessions starting at 6pm, making that a reliable time to find nets on site. The single available review reflects the net access issue, with a visitor noting the courts lack usable nets.

Courts are available to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis. However, the PB courts use portable nets which are kept in a locked storage box. Only Cape Fear Pickleball Club members have access to the contents of the box. So unless you bring your own net, you must be a CPFC member, or be accompanied by a CFPC member. CFPC plays there regularly on Tuesday evenings beginning at 6pm.
