Pickleball Plus may collect the following types of information when you use our App:

• Location data: Your device's location to show nearby pickleball courts (only when you grant permission)
• Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used and screens viewed
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
• User-generated content: Reviews, ratings, and other content you voluntarily submit
• Purchase information: Records of in-app purchases (processed securely through the Apple App Store)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Show you pickleball courts near your location
• Display community reviews and ratings
• Improve the App's features and user experience
• Respond to support inquiries
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our services

3. Location Data

Pickleball Plus uses your device's location to find and display nearby pickleball courts. Location access is requested only when needed and can be disabled at any time through your device's settings. The App functions with limited features if location access is denied — you can still search for courts by city or address.

4. User-Generated Content

Reviews, ratings, and other content you submit through the App are publicly visible to other users. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in your reviews. You may request removal of your content by contacting us.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with third-party analytics providers to help improve the App. Court information and reviews are shared publicly within the App as part of its core functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. User-generated content (reviews and ratings) is retained as long as the App is operational. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Pickleball Plus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Opt out of certain data collection
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Newsletter Subscriptions

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect and store your email address for the sole purpose of sending you communications you have opted in to receive. We use a double opt-in process: after you submit your email, we send a confirmation message and only add you to the list once you confirm.

We may use your email address to send you:

• App updates and new feature announcements
• Local pickleball event information
• Community highlights and playing tips

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. Your email address is stored securely and is transmitted to our email delivery provider, Resend, solely for the purpose of delivering the emails you have subscribed to.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email, or by emailing us at chase@pickleballplusapp.com. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you newsletter emails, and you may also request full deletion of your email address from our records.

12. Website Search Analytics

When you search for courts on pickleballplusapp.com, we log the text of your query, a timestamp, and an anonymous browser-generated identifier to help us understand what locations people are looking for. We do not log your IP address, name, or account information. This data is retained only for product analytics and applies to searches performed on the website — not to searches performed inside the iOS app.

13. Embed Integrations

When our court-finder widget is embedded on partner websites, we log each search request for abuse prevention. Logged fields include a salted hash of the requester's IP address, a truncated version of the IP (for diagnostic grouping), browser user-agent, and referring page. We do not store raw IP addresses. The salt is rotated annually. The embed page also uses Google Analytics 4 — the same tool used elsewhere on pickleballplusapp.com — to measure usage patterns such as geographic region and engagement. Only partner websites explicitly approved by us can load this embed.
