The facility features 8 outdoor concrete courts equipped with permanent nets, wind screens, and lights, plus 2 indoor courts available for cold-weather play. Outdoor access is completely free, while the indoor facility runs $10 per month. When temperatures drop, the group moves indoors to the LaHarpe City building on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 5:30 PM. New and beginner players are actively welcomed — organizers keep extra paddles and balls available. Players also note the courts are kid friendly, making it a reasonable outing for families. Meadowbrook Park in Iola, KS, United States is a straightforward, well-maintained public option for pickleball with dedicated infrastructure rarely found at parks this size. The combination of lighted outdoor courts, a free-to-play policy, organized community play times, and an indoor fallback for winter makes it a well-rounded facility. One visitor tip worth noting: the surrounding park grounds can get swampy for a day or two following rain, so plan court visits on dry days for the best experience.
