Free pickleball is available in Filer, ID at Filer Community Park, a publicly accessible facility featuring 2 dual-use outdoor courts with painted pickleball lines maintained by the Filer Recreation District. The courts operate seasonally beginning May 1, open daily from 8 am to 10 pm on a first-come, first-play basis with no host or reservation required. Access requires a call to Sports Director Ed Hinkley at 208-320-3030 to unlock the court gates, making advance contact a practical must. Players should arrive prepared — nets need to be lowered to 34 inches before play and restored to 36 inches afterward, and all equipment including balls and paddles must be brought from home. Restrooms and parking are located close by, east of the courts along Fair Avenue.
