Emmalani Park in Princeville, HI offers 3 outdoor courts that were once open for free pickleball drop-in play daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. However, players report significant recent changes: as of late July 2025, pickleball appears on the park's prohibited-activity signage and nets have reportedly been removed, leaving basketball as the primary hard-court sport. A summer schedule (Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:30 AM–noon, from June 6 through July 28) was previously organized, with overflow play directed to the Kilauea Neighbor Center Gym. Given conflicting information, contacting organizer Ted Steinberg at 512-695-0024 before making the trip is strongly advised. The park itself is tagged as dog friendly and includes a picnic area.
