About this court

Shamel Park brings pickleball to Riverside, California with 8 free outdoor courts at 3650 Arlington Ave — a publicly accessible facility rated 4.1 across 676 Google reviews and open every day from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The courts are in good condition, lighted for evening use, and situated within a multi-sport park that also features a pool, restrooms, and showers. One key detail: nets are not on-site, so players are required to bring their own for open play. Organized sessions run twice weekly under Riverside Pickleball. Sunday mornings (7:00–11:30 AM) welcome all levels, with a dedicated beginner court near the gate and equipment provided for first-timers. Tuesday evenings (5:30–8:30 PM) follow a similar format, adding designated challenge courts (3.5 and above) after 6:30 PM. Both sessions operate on a no-rack paddle system, where players place their paddle at the court of their choice to self-select skill level and manage wait times. Last games start by 8:15 PM on Tuesdays. Beyond the courts, players note that Shamel Park in Riverside, CA, United States is a genuinely family-friendly environment — reviewers mention well-kept playgrounds, a sizable pool, ample parking, and easy freeway access. The park's multi-sport layout and free admission make it a practical choice for pickleball players of all levels looking for structured or casual outdoor play throughout the week.
