About this court
Situated at 201 S. Rengstorff Avenue in Mountain View, CA, Rengstorff Park provides 2 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts on the east side of the property, close to a tennis practice wall. Both courts feature permanent nets and are painted with dedicated lines on a concrete surface. A third court also carries permanent lines but relies on a portable net. All courts are free to use, open to the public, and no advance reservation is needed — making this a reliable spot for drop-in open play. The park holds a 4.6-star Google rating from 28 reviews, reflecting a generally positive reception from the local pickleball community in California. Players note the concrete surface shows visible wear and some cracking that can produce unpredictable bounces on serves, though the courts are consistently described as clean and playable. Reviewers also highlight the park's informal player-rotation system, which helps everyone get court time during peak hours without formal scheduling. Restrooms are available on-site, though visitors mention the facilities are functional rather than well-maintained. One recurring topic among players is the absence of court lighting. Because the adjacent tennis courts direct their lights toward the pickleball area, evening play becomes difficult, effectively limiting use to daylight hours. The park is tagged as a multi-sport facility, and additional overlay pickleball courts on nearby tennis courts are accessible within a short walk, offering more options when the dedicated courts are occupied. For anyone seeking free, dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets in the Mountain View area of the United States, Rengstorff Park represents a community-centered option worth visiting.

Contact: Monica Williams Phone: 650-254-1041 Comment: MOVED to PALO ALTO (July 6 2016). We'll be back when Mountain View provides dedicated courts or paints blended lines. Good News! The City of Mountain View Recreation Department has approved and is preparing a proposal to paint the blended lines. We are hopeful that this will happen soon. EDIT: two permanent pickleball courts on the East side of the park by the tennis practice wall. Third court has permanent lines but no net.
